Casa Olga is located in Sestri Levante, in a peaceful setting on the edge of the woods, about 4 km from the sea. It is an ideal base for discovering not only the Riviera's beaches, but also the paths, woods, and small villages of the Ligurian hinterland.
Sestri Levante is famous for the Bay of Silence and the Bay of Fables, but the surrounding area has much more to offer. You can easily mix beach days, scenic walks, inland hikes, and visits to characteristic Ligurian villages.
For walking enthusiasts, trails of varying lengths and difficulties start right from Casa Olga and its surroundings. You can even reach scenic hiking routes with sea views on foot. For cycling and mountain biking fans, two circular routes of about 14 km start right outside the front door.
The location also makes it easy to plan day trips to the Portofino Park and the Cinque Terre National Park. Sestri Levante is connected to the railway network, meaning many coastal destinations can be easily reached by train, helping you avoid traffic and parking hassles.
The area surrounding Casa Olga is also well worth exploring at a leisurely pace: small villages, rustic farmhouses, weekly markets, and traditional festivals let you experience a less commercial side of Liguria that is deeply rooted in local life.
For our guests, we have put together information and prepared the dedicated local guidebooks listed above, featuring walking and cycling itineraries, MTB routes, beaches, markets, Ligurian cuisine, and tips for discovering Sestri Levante, Portofino, the Cinque Terre, and the hinterland.
The area is particularly pleasant in spring and autumn, when temperatures are ideal for hiking and you can experience the Riviera at a more relaxed pace compared to the summer months.
For those who would like a glimpse into daily life at Casa Olga, we offer the chance โwhenever it is completely safe to do soโ to visit our apiary and taste our honey.
