🌍 Sustainable Hospitality

Living surrounded by the nature of Liguria reminds us every day how fragile and precious this land is.
For this reason, we try to manage our holiday home with care, reducing waste and favouring small sustainable choices, without giving up simplicity and hospitality.
From the beehives in the woods to recycling, from the vegetable garden to eliminating single-use plastic bottles, many of the small daily habits that are part of our lives have naturally become part of our hospitality as well.
We hope our guests can experience this place with the same care, calmness, and sense of wonder that make us love these hills between sea and forest every single day.

🌿 Experiencing Liguria Respectfully

We like to encourage slow and respectful tourism.

For this reason, we invite our guests to:
* respect local trails, forests, and nature
* discover small villages and local activities
* support local producers and artisans
* choose local, zero-kilometre experiences
* help reduce the impact of tourism

The most beautiful Liguria, in our opinion, is made of silence, olive trees, sea-view paths, and hidden little details.

♻️ Reducing Plastic and Waste

We try to limit the use of single-use plastic as much as possible through small everyday choices:
* refillable soap and shampoo dispensers
* elimination of single-use plastic bottles
* filtered water jug in the refrigerator to chill drinkable tap water
* careful shopping with reduced packaging whenever possible
* towels changed only upon request

They are small gestures, but we believe even the simplest habits can make a difference.

♻️ Easy Recycling

We try to make recycling simple and intuitive, because respecting the environment should not make a holiday more complicated.

Inside the accommodation and on the terrace you will find dedicated bins for:
* paper
* plastic and cans
* organic waste
* general waste

A small guide with the Municipality’s recycling instructions is also available to make local waste sorting easier.

🐝 Beehives and Biodiversity

In the woods you can see from the terrace, we keep a few beehives.
For us, they represent not only honey production, but also a small concrete contribution to biodiversity and the pollination of local plants.

Every season changes the work of the bees and the flavour of the honey.
Our bees produce:
* wildflower honey, dense and highly aromatic, made from the spontaneous blossoms of the woods and valley
* acacia honey, during a short flowering period of about ten days between late April and early May
* chestnut honey, dark and intense in flavour, towards the end of summer
* honeydew honey, which appears only in certain special years
Bees constantly remind us how delicate and surprising nature can be.

🐾 Vegetable Garden, Fruit Trees and Animals

For our own consumption, we grow a small pesticide-free vegetable garden and several fruit trees.
We also keep a few chickens that spend much of the day freely wandering around the garden and creating small disasters between the grass and flowerbeds.
From time to time, our pet rabbit also appears, free and curious, especially when he suspects someone may have something interesting to eat.

💡 Energy and Energy Saving

To reduce consumption, we use:
* low-energy LED lighting
* automatic outdoor lighting
* energy-efficient appliances
* air conditioning with automatic shut-off in case of inefficient use
We try to avoid unnecessary waste while still maintaining the comfort of the accommodation.

🚰 Water

Water is a precious resource, especially during summer.

For this reason, we use:
* flow reducers
* small measures to limit waste
* gentle reminders for responsible water use during the stay

☀️ In Our Main Home

In the house where we live, we also use:
* solar panels
* a compost bin for recovering organic waste

🍯 Small Welcoming Touches

When available, we like to leave our guests:
* honey produced by our beehives
* small products from the vegetable garden
* suggestions about nature, hiking trails, and the local area These are simple details, but they are part of the way we live and experience this place.

⏱️ Ideas and Future Projects

We would like to continue improving with:
* agreements for e-bike rentals
* bicycles available for guests
* aromatic herbs for cooking
* further solutions to reduce consumption and waste
One step at a time, like Ligurian paths: full of curves, but with a beautiful view waiting at the end 🌿
